The Events & Partnership Coordinator will be involved with stewardship activities related to non-profit fundraising and serve as a member of the development team to create strategy for special events, relationship management, general development activities, and communications to include local media and social media for CMFCAA.
This position will be supervised by the Strategic Partnership Manager (SPM).
Events (40%) Lead the planning, organization, production and successful execution of CMFCAA fundraising events and activities Coordinate internal and external third-party fundraising events.
This includes organizing resources, event process, timelines and collaborating with development teams to communicate volunteer and marketing needs Assist CDO and SPM in the development of new events and ensure they run smoothly Provide planning assistance to all CMFCAA fundraising and donor recognition events Solicit sponsorships, participants, and event volunteers for CMFCAA events.
This includes creating and cultivating new corporate relationships Create and cultivate new relationships alongside the development team to benefit agency funding goals Work closely with the Volunteer Supervisor to communicate volunteer needs, expectations, communication and creating a positive volunteer experience at events Donor Development, Maintenance and Relationships (30%) Assist with the various fundraising campaigns in conjunction with SPM Help manage all activities related to attracting and securing donations on behalf of CMFCAA Build outstanding relationships with donors and personally solicit participants and volunteers to successfully manage no less than 4 fundraising events per year Collaborate with Marketing team to create compelling communications for events and stewardship programs Develop, research and execute outreach with prospecting in coordination with SPM focus on civic, corporate and organizational giving relationships to establish or increase giving levels Work with Database Coordinator to maintain and expand donor software system ensuring accuracy of all data and maintain database of donors, prospective donors, gifts, sponsorships, in-kind gifts and other appropriate information Participate as an active team member with all agency departments to include attending fundraising training opportunities Communications (20%) Assist in the planning, development and execution of successful fundraising campaigns in conjunction with Communications staff Attend networking events, seek and accept public speaking engagements to share information about CMFCAA with the community related to all CMFCAA fundraising events Maintain and communicate details regarding a development calendar including events, reports, campaigns and other key development activities Maintain strong, open communication with Development team and Leadership team regarding events and constituent relationships Assist Communications and Marketing team to grow social media avenues, focusing on visibility outreach and actionable engagement Planning and Analysis (10%) Collaborate with CDO and SPM to develop and execute the Annual Development Plan Execute strategies to diversify revenue streams to increase sustainability Evaluate progress toward fundraising goals, assess and analyze results, prepare and provide monthly reports for the Chief Development Officer, CMFCAA Board, and recommend changes or additions to planning and execution Maintain detailed records of expenses, profits, and communications Ability to prepare reports Solid commitment to the principles of support and advocacy for foster and adoptive families Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field Two (2) or more years' experience in successful nonprofit fundraising with focus on event management (preferred) The ability to collaborate and advocate for positive outcomes, using excellent interpersonal skills in multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic professional teams Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively Ability to work independently Public speaking and community networking skills preferred Knowledge and experience with data entry systems and reporting preferred Knowledge of social media tools preferred Ability to conduct literature and online database searches Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications - including Microsoft Office programs Experience creating flyers and marketing materials Experience working with marginalized communities with a nuanced understanding of systemic oppressions Flexibility and adaptability, able to shift styles to fit the needs of a wide range of cultures, people, and organizations Able to provide a portfolio of event management success, relationships, marketing material or anything that shows skills pertaining to this role.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
