EOE This position is a project/program manager for our Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) Kit.
The CAPS Manager is responsible for all aspects of Missouri's Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) Kit project.

Specific duties include presenting, facilitating, training, and conducting Poverty Simulations across the state and around the country.
This position is located in Jefferson City, and involves up to 30% travel time.
Additionally, the CAPS Manager will conduct research on the ongoing use, effectiveness, and potential enhancements to improve the impact of the simulation.
Bachelor's Degree in a human services or related field and one year of experience training or facilitating in a human service organization or outreach role preferred.
A combination of additional experience, education and certifications may be considered.
Specific Duties:
Manage execution of Missouri's Community Action Poverty Simulation and the CAPS Facilitator Training, which includes the following:
negotiating contracts with vendors; coordinating staffing needs and facility requirements; preparing materials; and other related logistics.
Facilitate the CAPS and the CAPS Facilitator Training to a variety of organizations and institutions in accordance with Missouri CAN standards.
Manage program design and development related to the CAPS kit, including kit modifications or enhancements, research and evaluation projects, full utilization of the kit among kit owners, etc.
Maintain a streamlined, communicative order fulfillment process, maintain efficient record-keeping of all CAPS kit contacts, and maintain the integrity of the CAPS copyright.
Provide training and technical assistance related to the CAPS to current and potential kit owners, including Community Action Agencies and Community Action staff.
Strengthen relationships and facilitate collaborations with current and potential kit owners, including community members, statewide organizations, and partners through coalition building, workshops, and community engagement efforts.
Collaborate with Missouri CAN staff to design and implement marketing plans and strategic initiatives for the promotion of the CAPS kit including promotion activities as conferences and events.
Maintain and enhance the CAPS website and the CAPS social media presence.
Coordinate CAPS kits sales, including negotiation of contracts with vendors, distribution of order forms and license agreements, responses to commonly asked questions related to kit purchases, etc.
Facilitate workshops and presentations related to poverty awareness, as needed.
o Assist in the planning, organization and facilitation of Missouri CAN events, including the annual conference, Advocacy Week/Day, Poverty Summit, etc.
Function as a key member of the Missouri CAN team, particularly in relation to serving as a content expert and editor for various publications/documents.
Represent Missouri CAN at meetings, coalitions, task forces, etc.
Attend trainings, workshops and conferences to stay attuned to trends in both Community Action and in adult education/group facilitation.
Stay abreast of poverty research and trends in order to disseminate accurate information and to maintain Missouri CAN's reputation as a poverty expert Other duties as assigned.
