OPTICAL INSTRUMENT REPAIRER (TITLE 32)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination. Maximum Military Grade:
CW4 (W-4) Warrant Officer - Branch 91 or 94 Enlisted - CMF 91 or 94 Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). GENERAL
Experience:
Must possess experience or training that has provided you with the ability to apply knowledge of optical theory and construction principles in order to test, repair, align, and collimate a variety of complex optical equipment. Must have the ability to understand and apply instructions, and specifications; and interpret blue prints and diagrams of optical paths and mechanical linkages. Must have the ability to use hand and power tools common to an optical shop. WG-10 SPECALIZED
Experience:
Must possess 18 months of specialized experience that demonstrates your ability to repair, rebuild, overhaul systems and components of optical instrument equipment. Experience diagnosing malfunction in determining remedy where complex relationships exist among optical systems and supporting mechanical and electrical systems; use a variety of measuring and testing equipment; and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics and work orders. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
